JAMIE THOMAS KING

Jamie Thomas King is an English-American actor with over 25 years of experience in film, television, and theatre. He is known for his performance in the Royal National Theatre’s production of The History Boys by Alan Bennett, as well as roles in popular television series including AMC’s Mad Men, Showtime’s The Tudors, and the BBC’s Call the Midwife.
In 2016, Jamie took a step back from the entertainment industry to found The Benjamin King Foundation, in memory of his late son Benjamin, who tragically passed away due to a preventable medical error. Driven by this deeply personal loss, Jamie has become a passionate advocate for patient safety, leading workshops and delivering keynote addresses to improve healthcare practices globally.
In 2023, Jamie co-founded Blackbird Productions with his wife, actress and writer Tamara Podemski. Their debut project, The Light Before the Sun—which Jamie co-wrote, co-produced, and starred in—received multiple awards on the festival circuit. Together, they are currently developing a slate of new work, including two feature films, two television series, a web series, and a short film.
