In 2016, Jamie and his wife Tamara Podemski tragically lost their son Benjamin as a result of preventable medical error. Since then, the couple has turned their grief into action and have quickly become respected voices in world of Patient Safety. Jamie has participated in panel discussions, taught in medical schools and even spoken at The European Parliament advocating for changes in European law.

 

The couple continue to share their families' story to raise awareness about the often hidden issues surrounding accountability and transparency in global healthcare systems. Their mission is to end preventable medical error and help save future generations from experiencing the trauma their family has endured.
